Inauguration of the Limodores wind farm
Inauguration of the Limodores wind farm
The Limodores wind farm was inaugurated on a sunny sky on September, Saturday 14th. Nearly a hundred locals took part in the event, in the presence of VIPs.
Hélène Haltz, the mayor of Rochefort-sur-la-Côte, welcomed the new residents to her community. She emphasised that ‘H2air have done everything in their power to ensure that this wind farm will not harm local residents, the landscape or the environment. The residents are also aware that H2air were present for them: public meetings, distribution of fruit trees, visits to the park... As the mayor, I am proud that our municipality is taking part in making the world a better place with this renewable electricity produced on our land: it means less pollution for us and for our children's future.’
Stéphane Martinelli, Chairman of the Chaumont Urban Community, congratulated H2air on this achievement and ‘all the elected representatives who wanted these wind turbines’. ‘It's a happy and important time for each and every one of you this morning!’
Senator Bruno Sido said that ‘the government's will is step by step coming to life, even if there are still a lot of projects to be carried out. France is too slow! (...) Today, I'd like to congratulate H2air and its chairman. We're delighted to be here with you to inaugurate these wind turbines!
Roy Mahfouz, Chairman and founder: ‘I'd like to congratulate the community that has welcomed us. Here too, we have met with the gouvernment's expectations with professionalism and we’ve listened you (...) You're here in great numbers to represent the "département of Haute-Marne". This confirms why we created H2air in 2008. That's our ethics: we want to carry out projects in collaboration with the community. Your presence here is a proof that H2air, and Silvère Da Luz in particular, have done an excellent job. It's also a contribution to France's energy self-sufficiency. This contribution to energy transition, to energy independence in these times of war. This energy is the energy of peace. And renewable energies take us closer to peace.
Guillaume Thirard, sub-prefect of Chaumont and secretary general of the “prefecture of Haute-Marne”, concluded the speeches: ‘Yes, these wind turbines represent national independence. (...) Today, we are celebrating the energy of peace. (...) Congratulations on your patience! I encourage the Mayor to share her experience with other mayors to speed up the contribution to energy independence and peace. This is also France's message to the world.
Located between Andelot-Blancheville, Bologne, Rochefort-sur-la-Côte and Viéville, in the Haute-Marne area, this wind farm of 10 turbines with a capacity of 22 MW will supply electricity to 14,400 homes a year.
Built by H2air PX, the 10 wind turbines are operated by H2air GT.
