We are excited to commission an additional 130 MW of clean and sustainable energy. Distributed across five stratégically located wind farms in the Hauts-de-France, Grand Est, and Centre-Val de Loire regions, these projects are a testament to our unwavering commitment to expanding renewable energy production and represent the culmination of ten years of organic growth within our group.
A collective work among H2air team
The five wind parks consist of a total of 37 Vestas wind turbines, each meticulously designed and optimized to harness the full potential of the wind resource. With diameters ranging from 110 to 150 meters and heights tailored to the unique terrain characteristics, these turbines have been engineered for maximum efficiency. Collectively, they will produce an impressive 300 GWh of clean electricity annually, equivalent to powering 130,000 persons.
"These 130 MW required a long time labour by our development, environment, legal, financing electrical engineering and building teams. This success announces to the achievement the 2 GW pipe in France and abroad "
emphasized Loïc ESPAGNET, Chief operating officer for development & communication of H2air.
In addition to the environmental benefits, these projects will have a significant positive impact on local communities. Over the course of 20 years, the wind parks are expected to generate approximately 35 million euros in tax revenues, contributing to the sustainable development and prosperity of the regions. We are grateful for the collaboration with our local subcontractors, who played a vital role in bringing these projects to fruition.
"Financed and consolidated by H2air, these 130 MW are nearly estimated to 200 millions euros investment. Regardless a complex global economy of these 18 last months, their financing and building demonstrate financial ripeness and efficiency of the group" asserted Camille VANDENBEUCK, Chief financial officer of H2air.
The successful financing and construction of these wind farms amid challenging times demonstrate the resilience and expertise of the H2air team. We are proud to be a major player in the energy transition, and these accomplishments reinforce our vital role in the French renewable market.
Within France, our subsidiary H2air GT is committed to achieving operational excellence. Currently managing 400 MW of renewable energy capacity, this expertise ensures the seamless operation and maintenance of our existing projects, guaranteeing optimal performance and reliability.
stated Roy MAHFOUZ, President-Founder of H2air.
