H2air acquires Energiequelle France

H2air SAS, an independent renewable power producer (IPP), announces the acquisition of Energiequelle France, the French subsidiary of German renewable energy developer Energiequelle. The transaction strengthens H2air's position in the French onshore wind market and expands its development portfolio through the addition of a well-established platform with recognised expertise and strong regional roots.

Against a backdrop of increasing consolidation and market volatility in the French power sector, H2air is accelerating its growth strategy through the acquisition of Energiequelle France, headquartered in Rennes, Brittany. The transaction adds a portfolio of approximately 500 MW of wind projects under development and 60 MW of assets either operating or under construction.

The combination brings together two organisations that share a long-standing commitment to developing renewable energy projects while respecting local communities, people and the environment. The transaction will enable the combined teams to leverage their complementary expertise and support the long-term growth of the enlarged group. Energiequelle France's team of approximately thirty employees will join H2air over the coming months.
