Our role involves taking charge of projects from the moment administrative authorisations are obtained until financing is secured. This involves coordinating the technical, financial, legal and environmental aspects to ensure the project is viable, feasible and profitable. The main challenge lies in meeting deadlines by anticipating bottlenecks while reconciling technological innovation with regulatory constraints.
I spend my days monitoring project progress, updating schedules and preparing for strategic decisions. I work closely with the development, technical, financial, legal and construction teams, as well as our external partners. The job requires coordination and foresight, as well as the ability to juggle technical, economic and regulatory issues.
I enjoy the cross-functional aspect the most: working with experts from very different fields and constantly learning. Seeing a project come to fruition after several years of effort is also very satisfying, because we are directly contributing to the energy transition. I really enjoy technology monitoring because it's essential: it allows us to continuously improve our working methods and keep up to date with sector developments, such as new turbines, modelling tools, and energy recovery solutions.
