Energiequelle SAS becomes H2air Rennes
On 17 October, H2air SAS finalised the acquisition of Energiequelle's French subsidiary, a German renewable electricity developer.
In a context of consolidation and volatility in the French electricity market, this acquisition strengthens H2air's position as an IPP. The French division of Energiequelle is based in Rennes, Brittany. The deal encompasses 500 MW of wind power projects under development and 60 MW in operation or under construction.
The two groups share values and are both committed to developing renewable energy in a way that respects people, the environment and local communities, through high-quality work and dedicated teams. The transaction will enable the teams to join forces and nurture their expertise. Energiequelle’s French team, comprising around thirty people, will join H2air in the coming months.
